It’s still nearly 100 degrees every day. Yet plans are being made for the coming cool, and I’m excited to share them with you!
This sweaty summer I’ve been learning new bodywork techniques, connecting with old colleagues and creating new connections around town. I’ve also been traveling, lounging, lazing down rivers and floating through heat waves, dancing and dreaming, envisioning what else is possible in this work of embodiment.
What excites me most about somatics is that it is a field that is still young, still hopeful, still figuring itself out, it’s an emergence of ideas and possibilities. As embodiment theorists love to say, echoed in the name of my former audio project, “we still don’t know what a body can do.”
These words inform my work, and keep me feeling for the potential and the possibility of the body. One of my newest Fall offerings is an experimental workshop merging queer theory and embodiment practice, as a way to continue exploring all the wild things a body can do. More info below!
If you are interested in scheduling a somatic coaching session, a somatic bodywork session, or a massage, you can do so HERE
What’s new?
I’m facilitating an in-person 6 week somatic coaching immersion in Gainesville, Florida for the first time ever!! (I can't describe how excited I am to finally bring this powerful work back to my home town.)
Moving with Text: exploring the practice of theory.
Enrollment is also open for the Fall cohort of the online 10-week Intro to Politicized Somatic Practice
